Mother Tongue Fortnight 2024
Mother Tongue Fortnight
The Mother Tongue Fortnight (MTF) activities offer students a dynamic platform to engage with their Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) and associated cultures, allowing them to experience MTL as a vibrant, living language. The Mother Tongue Department organized this special event on Term 2 Weeks 5 and 6.
Throughout these two weeks, students integrated cultural learning into their MTL lessons. They also had the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities during class and recess.
With the support of parent volunteers, students explored cultural activities from three different ethnic groups during recess. These thoughtfully designed activities provided authentic experiences for students to practice their MTL and deepen their connection to their cultural heritage.

P4 Cultural Camp
This year's cultural camp theme is "Traditional Weddings." Students from various ethnic groups will have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the wedding traditions of different cultures and experience the wedding process firsthand. On the day of the "wedding," the school has also set up wedding venues representing Chinese, Malay, and Indian cultures at three different locations, allowing students to immerse themselves in the rich cultural atmosphere and learn about each culture's wedding traditions.
